In honor of Shabbat Yom Yerushalayim and Shabbat “Dorshot Tov” by Kolech, we are pleased to welcome our Scholar-in-Residence Rabbanit Jordanna Cope-Joseph!

Jordanna will speak on the topic:  Poems of Jerusalem: “Port City on the Shores of Eternity”

About the Speaker:  Jordanna (Yardena) is an attorney who serves as a Legal Adviser at the Jewish Law Department of the Israeli Ministry of Justice.  She is a senior lecturer in Talmud and Jewish law, a Yoetzet Halakha and Fertility Yoetzet and was the Director of Matan’s Advanced Talmudic Institute from it’s inception in 1999 until 2012 as well as founder of Matan’s Daf Yomi Shiur for women by women.

About the Organization:  Kolech is the leading Orthodox, feminist movement in Israel. It’s mission is to further the status and rights of women in the realms of Halacha, religious leadership, the religious establishment and community life.
