From Sadness to Celebration: A Moving Evening from Yom HaZikaron to Yom HaAtzmaut

Yom HaShoah Candle Lighting Vigil, Movie & Discussion

TAIS will hold our annual Yom HaShoah Candle Lighting Vigil to honor the memory of the six million Jews who were savagely slaughtered in the Holocaust. Yom HaShoah - God on Trial 3

We will also dedicate part of the vigil to honor the memory of Lori Gilbert Kaye hy”d who was murdered during the Anti-Semitic attack on the Chabad of Poway.

After the short ceremony, we will screen the film – God on Trial from Masterpiece Theatre – a chilling and thought provoking film about God’s role in the Holocaust followed by a discussion with Rabbi Ariel Konstantyn

Tuesday, April 16 – Parting the Sea to Our Freedom – A Mystical Journey with Kabbalist & Astrologer Amit Adler – 9:30pm (Hebrew/English)  splitting of sea

 4.   Shabbat HaGadol DrashaRabbi Ariel will deliver his Annual Shabbat HaGadol Drasha on Shabbat HaGadol on Shabbat afternoon, April 13 at 6:30pm in English and by Rabbi Simcha Cohen in Hebrew.

6.  Siyum Bechorim

Rabbi Ariel will conclude the Tractate Megillah on Friday morning, April 19 following Shacharit at 8:00am.  All firstborn men in attendance will thereby be exempt from the Fast of the Firstborns.  A light breakfast will be served.

This Shabbat, we are pleased to welcome Blue & White’s Star Knesset Candidate – Orit Farkash-HaCohen!  orit farkash hacohen

Orit is the former Chairman of the Israeli Electric Authority, was a leader in spearheading the effort to break up the natural gas cartel and is a leading candidate for the Blue & White run for Knesset.
